HOW WE WILL BUILD SERVE AND BE COMMUNITY

• DWELL UK is a Framework to deliver high quality, sustainable, affordable housing alongside an extensive network of Christian led community hubs across the UK.  

• The community hubs will be presented as a community resource that is a club that you can join and belong to with neighbours and friends.

• DWELL UK will deliver flexible community space for pastoral, social, health and practical support activities tailored to local community needs and a purpose built cafe.

• ​There will be the potential to re-purpose or build commercial retail space to provide an income stream or meet a social need for fresh food.

• The Framework approach enables standardisation to reduce bureaucracy, allowing those providing pastoral support to focus on this and not running the back office functions  eg HR, finance, facilities management.

• The intention is to partner with other organisations and roll out other  support, 

  social inclusion and "eco" projects in the community hubs  (eg CAP, Citizens Advice, Trussell Trust, Toy libraries, 

  neuro-diverse supported housing and/or day centre,  U3A, “housing first” concept, projects supporting resettlement of ex-offenders, 

  homeless, refugees and asylum seekers.

• Dwell UK is an Impact Investment opportunity which will provide a de-risked financial platform enabling the Church of England to partner with organisations which will bring the necessary skills to effectively re-purpose buildings and utilise land banks.
